Amore E Dolore
Pietra di Sarnico (Sandstone)
200 x 130 x 50 cm
Sculpture in honor of the singer-songwriter Fabrizio de André in front of the library in Paratico / Italy
De André’s texts mostly deal with love and pain, encounter and separation of destiny and faith. He often juxtaposes the positive and the negative and always illuminates both sides in the opposite direction.
I have visualized this approach of the singer-songwriter in my suggestion. Two figures face each other. They could love each other or fight each other, approach or move away from each other. The heads are connected to each other like chewing gum, but it is clear to the observer whether he is attracting connectedness or separation pain with it.
